Abdul W. Wohabe 1959 Arabic Studies Fund

The Abdul W. Wohabe 1959 Arabic Studies Fund supports and promotes the study of the Arabic language and Arab culture in the Middle East and North Africa. It was granted by the family of Abdul Wohabe ‘59 on behalf of their late father who came to Williams from Saudi Arabia in the 50’s. The fund will be granted in perpetuity, offering students the opportunity to study Arabic or conduct research in an Arabic-speaking country during a summer or winter study. There is also an option for the funds to be used to apply to domestic programs if international travel is impossible. The grantees may use the funds to cover the cost of the program, travel, and living expenses.
